George Pollock Employee Spotlight

George Pollock, Jr is a Co-Founder and Chief Financial Officer. He has been at vXchnge since 2013 and works in the Tampa office. George is responsible for the Finance, Accounting, Treasury and HR roles. In his “spare” time, George rides his bicycle. He is also the founder of the FSHD Cycling Team. In June of this year, George and his eight person team participated for the 2nd time in the Race Across America (“RAAM”). RAAM is a 3,100 mile bicycle race from California to Maryland. The team finished in 6 days and 13 hours and raised over $1.3 million for two charities – the FSHD Society and Skyland Trail.

Why do you enjoy working at vXchnge?

I enIThe people. We all have a choice on where to work and I enjoy working with so many like-minded individuals - passion, customer focus, respect and common goals.

Bicycle racing - all disciplines - Road, Cyclocross, Mtb Bike, Track. My favorite team is Movistar and all of the American riders. 

 

What's one thing you are currently trying to make a habit? 

So I ride a bike regularly, but I am working on lifting weights much more often. As we get older, strength and stability become very important.

What is an accomplishment that you are most proud of?

Our children.  My wife, Jane and I have been married for 28 years, and have raised 2 great kids, Emily, 24, and Jacob, 22.  We have tried to lead by example – have passion for something, work hard, exercise and be nice.
