Our vision to build more state-of-the-art next-generation data centers across the country is being realized with our recent expansion into Philadelphia. Our new 70,000 square-foot “built for performance” data center is expected to be operational by mid-2015. This new data center will address localization and distance-to-customer issues faced by cloud and other service providers.
According to Keith Olsen, CEO of vXchnge, the new Philadelphia facility will provide a robust data center for both local and global companies that serve the Philadelphia metro area. It will be able to handle multiple network and service providers with its high-density infrastructure. In short, it will be good for both global and area emerging businesses.
We’re looking forward to expanding our presence and giving customers the freedom and performance of having their own Micro Data Centers. Philadelphia, the third densest city in the US, is an excellent choice, allowing us to overcome the physical and technological limitations of some of the existing legacy data centers.
