Utimaco Selects vXchnge to Launch First Cloud Service Provider Neutral HSM-as-a-Service in North America

TAMPA, Fla., April 11, 2018 -- Utimaco, the second largest Hardware Security Module (HSM) manufacturer, selects vXchnge, a leading neutral colocation data center services provider, to launch its first CloudService-Provider (CSP) independent HSM-as-a-Service in North America. vXchnge enables Utimaco’s CryptoServer Cloud HSM or its HSM premise-based appliance by providing world-class uptime reliability, flexibility and security.

The Utimaco CryptoServer Cloud HSM lets customers migrating to multi-cloud or on-premise environments securely store their cryptographic material in a separate location independent of the cloud service provider. This first-of-its-kind HSM-as-a-Service guarantees security and delivers a safe repository for organizations’ cryptographic keys and extremely sensitive and valuable assets -- including custom code – within the secure perimeter of an HSM.

“As companies choose hybrid-cloud architectures, they need protection from physical breaches and a partner with high availability and reliability, which is why Utimaco chose vXchnge,” said Ernest Sampera, CMO of vXchnge. “Utimaco also provides a great addition to our ecosystem. vXchnge customers can place their most valued digital assets in the cloud or on premise, regardless of the complexity of their data storage strategy, by keeping their crypto keys separate for exceptional security.”

“Utimaco is proud to launch a most reliable and trustworthy HSM-as-a-Service that helps customers secure the most sensitive and valuable assets including custom code within the secure perimeter of an HSM in the cloud. vXchnge is the perfect data center partner to enable this new CSP agnostic service,” said Malte Pollmann, CEO of Utimaco. “CryptoServer Cloud is a 24/7, year-round service. vXchnge’s commitment to protect global and emerging brands by delivering world-class uptime reliability, enables us to protect and secure data without interruption.”
